CHARACTER CREATION

Characters must:

• Be the creation of the applying player.  While ideas can be bounced around, and it’s perfectly okay to have two people apply for family members/people connected in some manner, the person primarily responsible for the creation of that character is the one who can apply for it.

• Be from an original world.  Fandom worlds are wonderful, but we’re looking for something from your imagination.  We want to give you a chance to shine, so go crazy with it.

• Have a defined power set.  Power levels will be moderated and kept from being game-breaking.  Characters do not need to understand or even know about their powers!  However we require a full write-up on what their powers are from the beginning.  Powers may grow and evolve with mod permission.

  • Schutzhafen is a protected zone.  Powers with area effects

    • While on campus are limited to the campus grounds

    • While off campus cannot affect the campus grounds.

      • Ex. A telepath cannot “talk” to someone off campus if they are on, nor on campus if they are off.  This includes a telepath whose powers include “anywhere on the world”.

• Be between the ages of 16 and 200.

• Be a first year student.  We will be opening up to upperclassmen after several months of OOC gametime, but since this is just starting out we’d like our students to be figuring out things along with the players and mods.

Characters must NOT:

• Be specified to be the only type of their kind.  Ex. There can be many kinds of werewolves, there is not one strain of lycanthropy.  A character may be the last of their bloodline, but not of their species.

• Be fandom or fandom adjacent.

• Nothing that feeds on people in a way that requires torture or similar levels of pain, psychic or physical.  This is not a horror game, and while horror elements are allowed they must take a back-seat to the PG13 rating we have assigned.

Application process

• Applications are processed once per month

• Because characters are all original, there is no need for reserves

• There is a starting limit of 2 characters per player.

  • If you wish more characters you must communicate to the mods why you think you can handle this.  Additional characters will be at moderator discretion.

    • Dropping a character and applying for a new character does not need to be justified.  A dropped character must be reapplied for if you desire to pick them back up.  Dropped characters are not able to be reapplied until two months after dropping.
